ALL - Sample Opening - April Fools Day

April Fools Day (Fred Walton, 1986)

  • Set in present day
  • Hand held camera signifies home movie
  • Worn out tape (signified by black lines across the image and black and white)
  • Old 80's clothes to anchor time period
  • People are at a pier with yahts/boats, this signifies wealth. Upper/middle class
  • Sexually active, talking about having sex so they need to be punished
  • Scream queen, blonde, sexually active, signifies she is to be killed later on
  • Final girl finds a jack in the box
  • More flashbacks signified by special effects
